Temple Of Tune
As you stand there cowering before a giant living statue deep within the catacombs of some ancient Aztec temple, you may ask yourself at what moment things in your life went so horribly awry.
‘Oh, yeah,’ you tell yourself as you run screaming towards the steadily closing stone entrance. ‘That Sandisk 4GB Sansa Clip Plus I bought from Woot.’
It all started so innocently, didn’t it? You needed a digital music player with FM Tuner, one that could play lots of different formats plus audio and podcasts and came in fetching colors like Black, Burgundy, or Blue. It was almost as if Fate itself led you to the web site that morning and guided your cursor to the yellow button the moment you saw it. They even had a great deal on a 16GB microSD card that would allow you to expand this player’s capacity to 20 gigs. Not too shabby.
But the one you received already had a microSD card in the slot, didn’t it? And that card just happened to be loaded with the voice memos of an old professor who used to use that very same Sansa Clip Plus to record his findings on the Lost Temple Of Martek into the built-in microphone. Listening to all that talk about fabulous riches and golden wonders for hours courtesy of the rechargeable battery certainly peaked your curiosity, huh? Next thing you knew, you were on your way to adventure aboard a small charter plane whose only other passengers were chickens and goats. What could happen, right?
Of course, that was all before your guides left you stranded in the jungle, the ravishingly beautiful archaeologist you met in town betrayed you by handing you over to a tribe of headhunters, and the giant rock-beast that’s now attempting to grab and crush you. Well, at least you can listen to your favorite album as you desperately scramble for an exit. Everything didn’t turn out all THAT bad, really.
